Holliston L wrote a review Oct Excellent End of Season Stay and Golf. This was my first trip during the COVID pandemic, and it was a lovely getaway for those looking for a beautiful golf course.
It was the end of the season with everything closing down soon, but the staff were so welcoming and made our last golf weekend of the year a delight.
The Fall Stay and Play package was an amazing deal and the golf course was very accommodating in terms of fitting us in for multiple rounds on the course each day.
Due to the COVID restrictions, the restaurant and casino at the hotel were not open, but that is understandable. Look forward to returning another year to experience these, and enjoy this course again.

Excellent stay and service. This was our first break since the pandemic, and it was just right for 4 days. Quiet, peaceful, excellent service.
Exceptional protocols. Short drives into Cranbrook or Kimberley. Important history and well done to reclaim the site for the future. We have wanted to stay here for a few years and look forward to staying again.
Date of stay: September Value. Sleep Quality. Room Tip: We enjoyed the Lodge. Great sunsets and sunrises, views of mountains and main hotel.
Colette P wrote a review Sep Richmond, Canada contributions 29 helpful votes. Should have done my Homework. Lovely main building, gorgeous grounds, room was average, it was nice but not the wow factor.
Covid protocol was in place, plenty of parking. Having said that, if I had done my homework better and realized that this resort was once a residential school many years ago I would not have booked this resort.
They do not hide this fact as its almost like a mini museum with many photos of the indigenous children and adults. There is also a small cemetery next door.
If this does not bother you, its a lovely quite out of the way resort with wonderful landscapes surrounding the property.
But for my husband and myself it was upsetting to us. Date of stay: September Location. Mel17 wrote a review Sep Beautiful Resort.
My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this outstanding golf resort. We made our arrangements with Joel. He was very accommodating, courteous and friendly.
Actually, we found all the staff to be outgoing and personable. The Junior Suite was exceptional, roomy, with very comfortable beds, and an enormous bathroom.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the golf course. The ribeye steak dinner was excellent. We loved reading about the history of this mission and looking at all the photographs that line the walls.
We really enjoyed our time here. Thanks Joel. Date of stay: September Trip type: Traveled as a couple. Travelsavvy wrote a review Sep Nanaimo, Canada 8 contributions 1 helpful vote.
Reconciliation in Action. The main building of this resort used to be a Residential School and care was taken to tell the story in photos on the walls and a memorial statue of two young Indigenous children looking out for one another.
The room was standard King bed and there was a golf course on the property. The restaurant was closed, however, the golf course bar was open for food options but the menu was limited and the food was reasonable at best.
I truly expected more after reading other reviews. There was nothing close by and we were dependent on the hotel.
Date of stay: September Thank you for your review Travelsavvy, we will hope to host you again next summer when we are planning to return to our full operations!
